I was recently inspired by a podcast about cleansing our inner world to create a more beautiful outer world. That reflection led me to write a poem, which felt like the perfect fit for the themes of my upcoming event—ASCEND 2025.

Ascend

You saw me when I was placed down low,
Yet when others turned their backs on me,
You remained steadfast and never let go.

I once thought I stood alone,
Yet when my own power faded,
You never left me on my own.

When the fires came, You saw me burn,
Yet when I lay in piled ash,
You helped me find the lesson to learn.

You saw me when I was still unseen,
Yet when the world denied my need,
You gave me abundance on which to lean.

So what could I ever return or lend?
There is none greater than the Great I AM,
And it’s from within Your Spirit I ascend.
