I have little knowledge about all this and found this very enlightening. My in-laws have talked about the Free Masons and my husband was "invited" in. It seemed like my in-laws, even those who follow Christ, were excited. I couldn't understand it. It was if it was like being invited to receive an award. I'm thankful to learn more about them so I can be better prepared against deception!
yes, people below the 33rd degree of masonry aren't "initiated" they are just deceived. But they get taught "secret knowledge" at the lower levels so that they are receptive to the ultimate inversion, simply put, they teach that the Bible is "true" but it's misinterpreted and Jesus gave the real knowledge in secret and the real knowledge is the God of the Old Testament is jealous and mean. And that Jesus is the Son of God they just believe the New Testament God is not Yahweh, but Lucifer so they lay claim to Jesus as the son of the serpent seed.
Knowing this now read the passage,
"Some will come to me on that day saying, Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your Name and cast out demons? But I will say to them: I never knew you, depart from me you doers of iniquity!"
And like Rebecca wrote about this has been going on forever. Its nothing new. The showdown between Elijah and the prophets of Baal is the same war repeating itself.
I found this article fascinating, Sean. I didn't know much about these secret societies. I do remember being in grade school with a Masonic Temple located next door to my parochial school. For some reason it gave me the creeps when I would pass by at seven yrs. old. Thanks for the clarity and exposing the deception. Each time a lie is called out it loses a little bit of power. Thank you, Christine! Yes, they do operate secretly. I am still wrestling with how to write about some of my real life experiences because of some of the places I used to work, I have seen it at the highest levels. It is crazy stuff.
Hi Sean, I really appreciate you sharing this perspective. My husband and I have had similar conversations, especially after one of our friends moved and started exploring becoming a Free Mason. It’s unsettling to think about how the enemy can disguise itself as something appealing, creating beliefs that can look similar to our Faith but lack the true essence of the Cross and the salvation that comes through His Blood. Thank you for shining a light on this issue! It’s clear that there is deep deception in our society right now, and it’s so important for us to come together in spreading the truth of the Gospel that truly saves.

I love this! Many times commentary about the underlying teachings like the Masons are just another trip down the rabbit hole of paranoia.
This is just the Gospel. Good News. Not wacky us against them rhetoric! ✌🏼
